Jean
Jean Pokorny is a multi-disciplinary designer who has been helping clients of all shapes and sizes create beautiful and functional things for over 25 years.
She began her design career in NYC, working in publishing after earning her BFA in Design Graphics. She moved to Virginia and started her own design studio—Corn Creative—in 2004. She spent years developing her professional repertoire, expanding her hands-on skillset to include design for the web, social media, and email.
Working both as an in-house designer and independent contractor, she has helped her clients successfully strategize, visualize, and communicate their stories. From college deans to tech companies, non-profits to corporations, and small start-ups to cultural institutions: her collaborations have been defined by diversity and adaptability.
She manages projects with conscientious communication, excellent organizational skills, and close attention to detail.
With a laugh that would not be described as ‘timid,’ Jean is an expert in balancing personality with professionalism. When she’s not working you can find her gallivanting with her family, designing jewelry, reading the latest literary fiction, or crushing Wordle. She has been known to accept payment in paper samples.
